Crown of Midnight first impressions

Crown of Midnight is the sequel to Throne of Glass. It takes place a few monthesaffter the ending of Throne of glass and brings you right into the story, bringing you into an assassination that Celeana is on. It lets us know that all the other charicters havent changed a lot in the time in between the two books.

Book Review

The Assassin and the Empire Analysis

The Assassin and the Empire was the last of the 4 prequils to throne of glass. The book tells us what had happened leading up to Celeanas capture. The book takes a suprising twist twords the end.  The book tells us who had set her up in the end, but we can try to guess first based off ofevidence. We can start to sence that it is a set up based off the fact that a character dies. We can also tell by the lack off effort twords saving Celeana.

The Assassin and the Underworld Charicter Overview

In The Assassin and the Underworld, Celaena changes alot as a character. mShe builds a strong relationship with Sam and starts to become independent from Arobynn. She realises that Arobynn sees her as an asset to make money, not as a person. Through out the job she is completing for him, she asked Sam to help her out along the way. The two build a connection, using what happened in Skulls bay as a footing. The connection between the two builds as they keep working together and this eventualy reviels why she has taken some actions erlyer in the book.

The Assassin and the Underworld

The assassin and the Underworld was the best of the 3 e-books so far. It describes the events that unfold after Celaena returns from the Red desert. It builds on Celaenas connection with Sam and how Arobynn coped whith what he did to her in the last book. It revolves aroun a job that Arobynn gives Celaena and how she tries to separate from him by paying off her debt. Also it shows that Arobynn fells reluctent for what he did to her.

The Assassin and the Desert

The Assassin and the Desert
The Assassin and the Desert allows you to have some insight as to how Celena got her training. The theme of this book was that people deal with pain in diffrent ways. This is preatymuch summed up in this quote,"If you can learn to endure pain, you can survive anything. Some people learn to embrace it- to love it. Some endure it through drowning it in sorrow, or by making themselfs forget. Others turn it into anger. But Ansel let her pain become hate, and let it consume her until she became something else entirely- a person i dont think she ever wished to be"(Mass Pg 48). This quote describes that you can deal with pain in many ways, but you can never let it become something that changes you. Over all this was a very good read, it was as good as Throne of Glass and gives a significant amount of backaround knowlage of Celaena.

The Assassin and the Pirate Lord Review

The e-book The Assassin and the Pirate Lord is a prequel Throne of Glass. It gives you some backaround knowlage about Celaena and her friend Sam. During this book Celaena builds a relationship with Sam, another assassin. They start out as not the best of people to be around, but throught the events of the book they become closer to one another. This is an extreamly good example of how charicters evolve throught a book. The book itself didnt live up to Throne of Glass, but it is still a good read.
